Internal Comms Appear to be Significant Part of New Ford Plan

Mulally.jpgNew Ford Motor Company CEO Alan Mulally didn’t use the phrase "internal communications," but it’s clearly what he’s talking about as an important part of the company’s turnaround plan.  In an interview with Automotive News, the major auto industry trade magazine, Mulally says the regular Thursday morning business plan meeting that he’s instituted for the executive team is aimed at getting, and keeping, everyone focused on the strategy.  Automotive News quotes Mulally as saying, "We used to have many meetings on different subjects, but we didn’t really have a business plan meeting where we went over the business … The most liberating thing for everybody is that we keep everybody focused on doing the job that we have at hand …"
